With this meaningful event held between June 11–15, we strengthened both disaster preparedness and the spirit of international solidarity.
Disasters are a reality for our country and a shared challenge for all of us. The painful experiences we have endured in the past have once again shown us the importance of disaster preparedness and search and rescue operations. That is why the FCI World Search and Rescue Dog Teams Championship, held in our country, was not merely a competition showcasing canine skills—it was a deeply meaningful event reflecting the spirit of international cooperation.
The world championship, which included challenging trials such as rubble search, wilderness search, scent tracking, obedience, and agility, not only contributed to the development of our search and rescue dog infrastructure but also enhanced public awareness and strengthened our collective consciousness about disasters.
We extend our sincere thanks to all participating countries, teams, and to our own KIF&KOPED SAR Search and Rescue Team for honoring this important event with their presence.
As always, we are grateful to our main sponsor, Royal Canin Turkey, for their continued support in all our events.
We would also like to express our appreciation to Deputy Governor Mr. Mahmut Hersanlıoğlu and District Governor of Çekmeköy Mr. Resul Çelik for their support in making this significant event possible.
We are especially thankful to the Mayor of Çekmeköy, Mr. Orhan Çerkez, and all departments of Çekmeköy Municipality, for their unwavering support at every stage of this organization, helping us keep the memory of our losses alive and contributing to the formation of a more conscious and prepared society in the face of disasters.
